Salvation & Mankind
We believe, according to the Scriptures, man was created by God, in the image of God, male and female, given the responsibility of procreation and dominion over the earth (Gen1:27,28.) Marriage was designed by God to be between one man and one woman (Gen.2:18-25), it was blessed and affirmed by Christ as a lifelong commitment (Matt. 19:4-6). Man was created without sin and fell into sin by disobedience to God (Gen.3)
We believe, according to the Scriptures, that there is only one way to be saved, and that every person is a totally depraved, hell bound sinner (Rom. 3:23, 25). The guilt of their sin must be confessed to God in repentance. Jesus Christ must personally be received as Savior for forgiveness of their sin (Rom. 10:10-13). Salvation is by grace and is the gift of God, received by faith, purchased by the blood of Christ, and cannot be obtained in any other way (Eph. 2:8, 9). This experience constitutes the new birth, and from that moment the individual is born of the spirit of God into the family of God for time and eternity. From that moment the believer is a new creation created to continually worship and serve God (Eph. 2:10; 2 Cor. 5:17).
